The woolgrowers of Idaho have been losing court cases because they want to graze sheep in bighorn sheep habitat. Domestic Sheep are diseased with a pneumonia that can wipe out an entire herd of bighorn sheep. The woolgrowers have conspired to maintain their stranglehold over the public lands and circumvent the law on OUR public lands by effectively taking the management of bighorn sheep out of the hands of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Hunters and conservationists alike should be outraged by this development. I encourage everyone to attend this meeting and speak up.
We all know what happens when agriculture departments get involved with wildlife management. Just think Montana Department of Livestock and Yellowstone buffalo.
