The Chair’s Award recognizes a WSF member, individuals, or a group for their outstanding contributions to the Foundation, including WSF’s mission, convention and programs, and their work strengthening wild sheep populations, supporting wildlife conservation or honorably serving the hunting and conservation community. The winner of this award is selected by the current Chair of the Wild Sheep Foundation’s Board of Directors.

In 2024, the Wild Sheep Foundation's Chair Glen Landrus selected the Hells Canyon Initiative to be the recipients of the Chair's Award. The plaque reads:

The Wild Sheep Foundation recognizes and salutes the relentless and multi-decade work of the HCI collaborators to identify issues, educate the public, find solutions, and to effectively execute management actions to restore and enhance bighorn sheep in the Hells Canyon Complex.

Your work epitomizes our Purpose to "Put and Keep Wild Sheep on the Mountain®."
