WSF ATTENDS 8TH WORLD MOUNTAIN UNGULATE CONFERENCE

In 2019, WSF hosted the 7th World Mountain Ungulate Conference in Bozeman, Montana. This conference was the first time this gathering focused on mountain ungulates, primarily wild sheep and wild goat species (Caprinae species) worldwide, was held in North America. Kurt Alt, WSF's Conservation Director for International Programs, was the conference's principal organizer.

WSF: Bighorns Back on Utah’s Antelope Island

The Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) congratulates the Arizona Game and Fish Department, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR), KUIU, Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife, WSF Chapter Utah Wild Sheep Foundation and WSF Affiliate Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society on a successful transplant of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep onto Utah’s Antelope Island State Park.

WSF: Dall’s Sheep in Alaska

The Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) today shared its concerns in a letter to the Alaska Board of Game (BOG) about the current management challenges the state faces in response to recent winter die-offs of Dall's sheep in several regions of Alaska. The BOG is meeting to discuss future management options on October 19th.
