The Wild Sheep Foundation welcomed SITKA as the Official Sponsor of the 2023 Sheep Show®. The annual Convention and Expo for all things mountain game hunting and wild sheep conservation will be held in Reno, NV, January 14-16, 2023.

AWCP Summer Meeting
The American Wildlife Conservation Partners (AWCP), a consortium of 50 of the country's top hunting-conservation organizations and wildlife professional societies, just concluded their summer meetings. On the docket was outlining policy priorities and releasing its mid-term report, which is a review of progress made on the recommendations from Wildlife for the 21st Century: Volume 6 (W21) with specific priorities that still need to be accomplished.

WATER FOR PEOPLE AND DESERT BIGHORNS
The San Francisco Mountains south of the Arizona border in Sonora, MX, barely receive 3” of annual precipitation. The Wild Sheep Foundation, along with $10,000 from the Dallas Safari Club Foundation, has contributed $82,500 to drill a well to supply water to local people and provide a close and reliable water source for transport to fill water tanks for desert bighorn sheep and other desert-dwelling wildlife. Before this well, water had to be trucked daily 30 miles to supply the 78 families living in the area.
