When is the Convention?
In Person - January 15-18, 2025. Four nights of banquets at the Peppermill beginning on Wednesday, January 15. The Expo Hall opens Thursday, January 16, at 10:00 a.m.
Do I need to be a WSF member to attend?
No, you do not have to be a member to attend Sheep Show. However, when you are a member you would have a chance at winning sheep hunts at events like the <1 Beer Reception and the Life Member Breakfast (open to life members and their guests only).
Where do I pick up my registration packet?
At the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, there will be a registration table where guests can “pick up” their packets and purchased tickets electronically. Registration will be open on Wednesday, January 15 from 8-5 pm, and will be open 8am-5pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Can I register for events at the convention?
Yes, you are welcome to purchase
Expo Hall tickets onsite. However, we only sell a limited number of evening banquet tickets, and we could sell out. We recommend purchasing
banquet and event tickets prior to the show!
Are there any reserved seats for the banquets?
Yes, this year all seats are reserved for the banquets.
Can I attend the raffle/auction on Friday/Saturday without going to dinner?
Yes, after dinner, we will open the banquet hall for those who did not attend dinner but want to participate in the auctions—about 8 pm in years past.
WHEN DO THE FLOOR CREDIT DRAWINGS TAKE PLACE?
Full registration and Day Pass attendees receive “digital” tickets to win daily Floor Credit Drawings–Thursday 5 x $1,000, Friday 2 x $2,500, and Saturday 1 x $5,000. Individual banquet purchases will be entered into specific days of purchases. One entry per person. Check into the Floor Credit area in Hall 3 before 2:00 each day to get your badge scanned to make sure you’re in the running. Daily drawings are in the Raffle area in Hall 2 at 3:30 pm Thursday & Friday and 3:00 on Saturday–need to be present to win.
For the three hunts raffled off at the <1 Club Beer Reception, do I need to be present to win?
For the first hunt drawing, you do NOT need to be present to win. For the second and third hunts, you DO need to be present to win.
What are the <1 Club hunts this year?
There will be two Dall’s sheep hunts and one desert sheep hunt up for grabs this year. For <1 iClub, we have two chamois and one mouflon hunt.
Will there be transportation provided?
Yes, there will be buses that run between the Peppermill and the convention center. Grand Sierra will also have a shuttle going to/from hotel to convention center.
For the Sheep Show® raffle, do I need to be present to win?
No, the raffles will be drawn on Saturday in the Expo Hall, and you do NOT need to be present to win.
What time do the nightly banquets start?
The doors open at 6pm. The evening banquets are held in the Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill.
What time is the Expo?
The Expo Hall is open Thursday (10-5) Friday (10-5) and Saturday (9-5). It is at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
Can I buy a daily pass?
Yes! You can
purchase daily passes for $25/day. There are various outlets in Reno (Sportsmen’s Warehouse, Scheels, Bass Pro/Cabela’s, etc.) where you can pick up a $5 off coupon. New this year, we are offering a 3-day pass for $60. You’ll also receive a complimentary WSF membership with the 3-day pass!

When IS exhibitorS move-in/move-out?
Exhibitor registration opens at 8 am on Tuesday, January 14th and 8 am on Wednesday, January 15th. Move-out starts at 5 pm on Saturday, January 18th, and ends at noon on Sunday, January 19th.
Are memberships tax deductible?
If you become a
Life or Summit Life member, a portion of that fee is tax deductible. After you complete payment on your membership, you will receive a tax acknowledgment form.
If you have never taken a North American wild sheep ram (<1 Club) or an International wild sheep or goat (< iClub) you are eligible to join. You must also be a WSF member before joining these clubs.
Do I need to purchase a <1 Club Beer Reception ticket for the event if I am a member of the <1 Club?
Yes, you will need to purchase the ticket to the event as well. The ticket is $40.
Do I need to purchase a ticket to the Life Member Breakfast if I’m already a Life Member?
Yes, there is a $75 event ticket for Life Members to attend the breakfast. Summit Life Members receive free entry.
When is the deadline to join the <1 Club to be entered into the raffles?
Noon on Friday, January 17.
You receive the quarterly
Wild Sheep Magazine, WSF decals, and your membership card.
If I am a Life/Summit Life member, can I add people under me for a family membership?
No, if you are a life member, you cannot add people under your name. Those individuals must get their own membership.
Where is the <1Club Beer Reception taking place this year?
The Beer Reception will be held in the Mt. Rose Ballroom at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
Where is the Ladies luncheon taking place this year?
The Ladies Luncheon will be held at the Capri Ballroom at the Peppermill on Friday, January 17 from 11:30 to 1:30.
What is the Ladies Luncheon theme this year?

Do I need to be present at the Life Member Breakfast to win the sheep hunt?
Yes, you DO need to be present to win at the Life Member Breakfast.

When is the Marco Polo Society Reception taking place?
The event will be held from 4:30-6pm on Saturday in the EDGE at the Peppermill.
When does the 1 More for 4 Drawing take place?
The 1MF4 drawing is held during the Saturday night banquet immediately prior to the auction. Must be registered for the banquet and present to win.
When does the Horse Packing Competition and the Backpack Race take place?
The horse packing competition occurs following the Thursday night banquet at the Peppermill, typically around 10 pm. The backpack races are Friday night after the banquet.
When is the Ram Awards taking place this year?
This year, we are offering a FREE Ram Awards luncheon on Thursday at noon. It will be held in the Mt. Rose Ballroom at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
When does the Today, Tomorrow and Forever for Wild Sheep Reception take place?
This Reception will take place from 4:30-6pm on Thursday in the EDGE Nightclub at the Peppermill.
When does the Sporting Clays Shoot take place?
The Sporting Clays Shoot will be held at the Capitol City Gun Club on Friday from 9am-3pm.
How can I be eligible for the registration Bighorn Sheep drawing?
You must purchase a
FULL registration to be eligible. The drawing will be held during the Friday night banquet, and you must be present to win.

Do I need to purchase a day pass if I’m registered for the banquets or events?
No! If you are registered for any events, you receive free entry into the exhibit hall all 3 days.

All of these awards are presented during our evening banquets held in the Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill. These are subject to change.

When is the MTN Tough workout?
The
Sheep Tough Workout will be held on Friday, January 17 at 8 am at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. You must be registered to participate. The workout is limited to 500 participants, and you must be registered ahead of time, if not sold out. Everyone who completes the workout will be in a drawing to win a Dall’s sheep hunt in the NWT with Stan Stevens Mackenzie Mountain Outfitters.
What are my other hotel options now that the Peppermill is sold out?
We also have group codes for the Atlantis (code: Wild Sheep Foundation) and Grand Sierra (SHEEP2).
When does the YWCE take place?
The Youth Wildlife Conservation Experience takes place on Saturday, January 18. This free event takes place from 10am – 4pm at the RSCC in Hall 5.
You must register, even though this is a free event. You can do that ahead of time or register on-site.
