500 Years of Beretta with Ricardo Olivieri

Episode 90

Wednesday, April 1, 2026

Legendary Italian firearm maker Beretta is celebrating its 500th year in business. Sheep Fever co-host Gray Thornton visits with Beretta USA’s Head of Luxury and Competition Ricardo Olivieri in this informative episode to discuss Beretta’s history, philosophy, vision, their products, and their commitment to conservation. Ricardo walks through the process of developing a new firearm from concept to delivery, and speaks to the craftmanship of the brand, and the dedication of their employees, some serving Beretta for generations.

WSF recently had the privilege to sell their spectacular SO6 EELL Sparviere Marco Polo shotgun on auction at the 2026 Sheep Show which brough more than a half a million dollars for this one of a kind premier example of functional firearm art. Proceeds from the sale were directed to North American wild sheep conservation and specifically the ION Partnership in Idaho, Oregon and Nevada to conserve, enhance and increase the population of California bighorn sheep in this tri-state region.
