Privacy Policy

Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the WSF site and governs data collection and usage. By using the WSF site, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

WSF may collect personally identifiable information, such as your email address, name, home or work address or telephone number. WSF also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites. There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by WSF for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of our site.

Mobile messaging consent is obtained through a separate, optional opt-in process. Providing your mobile number for account purposes does not automatically enroll you in SMS marketing or alert programs. For complete details on our mobile messaging practices, message frequency, and how to opt out, please review our full Mobile SMS Terms of Service at the bottom of this page.

Use of your Personal Information

WSF collects and uses your personal information to operate the WSF web site, deliver the services you have requested, and communicate information about our programs and offerings. WSF also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other promotions or services available from WSF and our Chapters, Affiliates, and partners. We may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

WSF does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. WSF may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. In addition, WSF may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to WSF, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

WSF does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.

We keep track of the web sites and pages our customers visit within the WSF web site, in order to determine what WSF services and programs are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

WSF will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the WSF web site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of WSF; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of WSF, or the public.

Use of Cookies

The WSF Web site use "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize WSF pages, or register with WSF site or services, a cookie helps WSF to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same WSF Web site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the WSF features in your profile that you customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the WSF services or Web sites you visit.

Security of your Personal Information

WSF secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. WSF secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Changes to this Statement

WSF will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. WSF encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how WSF is protecting your information.

Contact Information

WSF welcomes your comments regarding this Statement of Privacy. If you believe that WSF has not adhered to this Statement, please contact WSF at info@wildsheepfoundation.org. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to promptly determine and remedy the problem.

Wild Sheep Foundation — Mobile SMS Terms of Service

  1. Program Description: Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) utilizes its mobile messaging program to communicate with opted-in users regarding core organizational updates, membership account reminders, conservation program alerts, and notifications regarding our annual convention, regional chapters, and other organizational events.
  2. User Opt-In: Users express intent and provide written consent to receive mobile messages by intentionally interacting with un-checked marketing checkboxes on our website forms (such as new user creation, membership registration, or event registration portals) or within an active user profile preference center. Enrolling in the SMS service is entirely voluntary and is never a condition of purchase, account creation, or foundation membership.
  3. Message Frequency & Pricing: Message frequency varies based on organizational timelines, event updates, and member interaction, but alerts are typically sent on an as-needed operational basis. Message and data rates may apply to any messages sent or received under this program. Please consult your wireless provider for details regarding your specific text messaging plan data structures.
  4. How to Opt-Out / Revoke Consent: You can cancel and completely revoke your SMS service consent at any time. Simply text the keyword STOP to our toll-free number. After texting STOP, our automated system will process your command and send you one final SMS message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. Following that confirmation, you will no longer receive any mobile text messages from Wild Sheep Foundation unless a brand-new, explicit opt-in action is performed on our website.
  5. Customer Support / Help: If you experience issues with our messaging platform or require assistance, you can text the keyword HELP directly to our toll-free number for automated assistance instructions, or contact our administrative team directly at info@wildsheepfoundation.org.
  6. Carrier Liability: Mobile carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and associated network partners) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages sent through the platform.
  7. Privacy Safeguards: All personal data collected, including mobile numbers and explicit SMS opt-in/consent data records, is managed under strict data privacy protocols. As outlined in our general privacy terms above, mobile lookup information and SMS consent records will never be sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties or corporate affiliates for marketing or promotional distribution purposes.
