Getting Wildlife Safely to Quality Food

The Wild Sheep Foundation strongly supports today’s boost in federal funds for big game migration habitat. Nearly $10 million in federal, private, and tribal funds were announced today after the Make America Beautiful Commission meeting. The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation will award funds to projects through its competitive proposal program, the Western Big Game Seasonal Habitat and Migration Corridors Fund.

WSF Special Service & Hunting Awards Given at Sheep Show

At this past Sheep Show, the Wild Sheep Foundation presented several awards for service to conservation and mountain game hunting. “These heroes of wild sheep conservation and hunting deserve to be recognized. Their dedication and contributions this past year and over a lifetime have not gone unnoticed, nor will they be forgotten,” said Charlie Kelly, Board Chair of the Wild Sheep Foundation.

WSF: Applauds Renewed Attention to Hunting and Fishing on Public Lands

The Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) welcomes today’s Interior Secretary’s Order ensuring maximum hunting and fishing opportunity on Interior public lands. The Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum, today released Secretary Order 3447 to remove needless barriers to hunting and fishing, expand opportunities where provided by law, and improve coordination with state, tribal, and territorial wildlife agencies.

Saiga Antelope: Conservation Success in Kazakhstan

The Saiga in Kazakhstan has rebounded from dangerously low numbers and has been recognized as a success by the international body governing threatened and endangered wildlife. CITES has declared that Saiga are now eligible for sustainable use programs in the Republic of Kazakhstan.  This is a dramatic success and a powerful opportunity to continue Saiga conservation.

Las Vegas School Assemblies
