The Wild Sheep Foundation recognizes outstanding contributions to wildlife conservation with our Outstanding Achievement Award. More than one award may be given out annually. The selection criteria are intentionally broad.

In 2024, three Outstanding Achievement Awards were presented—Vail Bighorn Initiative, as well as Congressman Mark Amodei and Congressman Steven Horsford.

VAIL BIGHORN SHEEP INITIATIVE
The Wild Sheep Foundation recognizes this citizen-led initiative to acquire and conserve crucial seasonal habitat for Colorado's Gore Range bighorn sheep herd.

CONGRESSMAN MARK AMODEI AND CONGRESSMAN STEVEN HORSFORD

The Wild Sheep Foundation recognizes your exceptional effort and leadership to support desert bighorn sheep conservation and management on the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. The continuing effort for cooperation between the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Air Force is vital to wild sheep and national security.
