Kaitlyn shares how she applied more than once for the opportunity to go to Texas, not giving up after not being selected the first time. Going through the course gave her a newfound confidence and a deeper respect for where her food comes from. Independent Oregon lobbyist and late-blooming hunter Amy Patrick joins Dana Bieder to discuss anti-hunting ballot measures, conservation politics, the right to hunt and fish, and how her Field to Fork experience shaped her advocacy for hunters and wildlife.

Class of 2024 scholarship recipient, Andrea Bouwman shares her experience applying and being selected for Women Hunts Field to Fork course. As a hairdresser and mom of 3, Andrea only had her husband as any connection to the world of hunting. Shortly after returning home her husband fell ill but she had her faith and a whole new family to support her. 

Where did you meet your best friend? Danny Henderson and Laura Carter were part of the first Women Hunt Field to Fork class in 2021. Even before they went to Texas for Field to Fork, they met and have been close ever since. They share the personal reasons they applied, what they learned at FTW Ranch, and how their hunting journeys have continued to grow since that first class.

She dives into her start as a foodie, restaurant ownership and her line of spices created to elevate any dish without the fillers most spices have. Shelly is an advocate for conservation which pairs well with her skills as a chef to honor the harvest from field to fork. 

Cheyenne Hoy was the second recipient of the Rubye Mayflower Blake Legacy Fund. Dana and Cheyenne discuss the incredible man her husband, Clayton, was and his love for the outdoors. Dana compliments Cheyenne on her optimistic outlook as she looks to the future with her two young children and keeping her husband's legacy alive for them to continue to pursue the outdoors in his honor.
