Building Conservation’s Next Generation at the Sheep Show

Conservation interests often begin long before careers and research projects. They start with curiosity. That curiosity was on full display in Reno, Nevada, during the Youth Wildlife Conservation Experience, a hands-on education program hosted by the Wild Sheep Foundation as part of its annual Sheep Show.

Las Vegas School Assemblies

Recently, Wild Sheep Foundation's Shooting, Hunting & Ethics Education Program (S.H.E.E.P.) coordinator, Ryan Brock, was able to visit southern Nevada to help students in the Silver State better understand their state mammal, the desert bighorn sheep.

The Wild Sheep Foundation announced the winners of its Life Membership Fund Scholarships. This year’s top scholarships go to Catherine Cummings, from Auburn, Alabama, and Megan Mellor, attending the University of Nevada, Reno.

Youth Outreach Shines at Sheep Show

"Exciting and inspiring the next generation." That's the rallying cry for The Wild Sheep Foundation's (WSF) Youth Wildlife Conservation Experience (YWCE). As part of WSF's Sheep Show® at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, this outreach impacted a record 2,745 school-aged children through hands-on wildlife educational experiences.
